Convenience and Comfort
The Windsor is well situated on the Parkway across from the Art Museum and close to the Franklin Institute. The hotel is older, so the rooms feel somewhat dated. The rooms are huge, with a full-sized (and reasonably well-stocked) kitchen and a gigantic walk-in closet. The beds are very comfortable, with a decent assortment of pillow choices. The vertical space is adequate in the main room but lacking in the bathroom. The hotel provides a good supply of big and thirsty towels. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating, especially the bellman Gabriel (Thanks for being terrific!). If you stay at the Windsor when it's cold outside, be sure your floor is on 7 or above. Rooms on the 6th floor are directly above the non-heated garage. This does not affect the room itself, but it does affect the bathroom water. To get the water hot enough for a shower, you need to open all taps and run them fully for at least 15 to 20 minutes. (That is not an exaggeration; we were instructed to do that by the engineer who responded [very promptly] to our request for help.) In addition to being an inconvenience, it's a terrible waste of water. We have a few suggestions for improvement: The lighting is indirect, making the room dark, particularly near the round table in the room, so an additional lamp would be helpful. Even more helpful would be at least one nightlight, since the room is so large and laid out so differently from a "normal" hotel room. The rooms are cleaned daily but could use a deep cleaning to freshen things up. It's convenient that the hotel offers coffee in the lobby early in the morning, but it would be great if you offered tea and decaf in addition to high-test. Finally, although most people do not smoke anymore, it would be nice to accommodate your smoking guests with an ash tray

Business trip for 16
A group of 16 of us traveled for work. We selected this hotel because of its proximity to our work destiination. It was very centrally located, but more importantly, it was a great hotel. The staff was so organized and friendly. Checking in took no time at all. Every time we had a question someone was there with an answer or a suggestion. The rooms are very spacious and well appointed. All 16 of us could not have been happier with this hotel
